These terms describe the rules for using Maren, an AI relationship coach for adults in the United States.

Using Maren

You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use Maren. Each partner should use their own account for private onboarding, consent, prep, data controls, and review decisions.

Product Boundary

Maren supports communication practice, guided conversation, agreements, and reviewed shared memory. Maren is not a human, lawyer, doctor, crisis service, emergency service, custody advisor, or safety decision-maker. Do not use Maren for urgent danger, self-harm crisis, abuse, coercive control, threats, child welfare concerns, or major legal, financial, or safety decisions.

Your Content

You are responsible for what you enter or say in Maren. Private prep remains private according to the sharing permission you choose. Session recaps, agreements, and memory items should be reviewed before relying on them because AI output and speaker labels can be incomplete or wrong.

Subscriptions and Billing

Maren Together is offered through monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions. The price, currency, billing period, and any introductory offer shown in Maren come from the App Store and are confirmed by Apple before purchase. Eligible customers may be offered a seven-day free trial. If you start a trial, Apple charges the displayed subscription price when the trial ends unless you cancel before renewal.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, and Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings. Apple determines refund eligibility; you can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com.

One active Maren Together subscription covers the two partners in the associated couple space and provides the paid features described in the app, including a guided voice session about once each week. Pairing, consent, privacy controls, and access to your stored data are not conditioned on an active subscription. If a subscription expires, is refunded, or is revoked, paid session access ends, but privacy and deletion controls remain available.

Deleting a Maren account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Maren provides a link to Apple subscription settings before account deletion so you can cancel separately.

Service Availability

Realtime voice sessions depend on internet access and third-party audio, transcription, AI, and infrastructure services. We work to keep paid features available, but interruptions can occur. If a paid voice session is unavailable or repeatedly fails, stop retrying a purchase and contact support so we can investigate. Any billing refund remains subject to Apple's process.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Maren to harass, threaten, monitor, coerce, impersonate, or harm another person. Do not attempt to bypass security controls, extract another person's private prep, or use Maren in a way that violates law or another person's rights.

Changes and Contact

We may update these terms as Maren changes. Material changes apply prospectively after the updated terms are posted or presented in the app. Billing or account questions can be sent through the support form.
